With WWE Monday Night Raw emanating live from the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, TN this week, it was only fitting that Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs make a surprise appearance on the show.
Mr. Jacobs actually met up with WWE Superstars R-Truth and Carmella at the University of Tennessee to give them a tour of Neyland Stadium, which aired in multiple segments throughout the night. At one point, the familiar-looking mayor even managed to knock out Truth and pin him to become the new WWE 24/7 Champion!
Later in the night, Jacobs returned to the Thompson-Boling Arena for Raw and ultimately lost the title back to R-Truth via roll-up. He angrily attempted to chokeslam the champ, before realizing that he already had a full-time job as mayor and didn’t the drama of defending the 24/7 title on top of that.
