WWE Smackdown Live star Becky Lynch surprisingly turned on her best friend, Charlotte Flair, at WWE SummerSlam this year, however, the fans have been reacting to Lynch’s turn in a way that WWE might not have anticipated.
WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray addressed the fan reaction to Lynch’s heel turn so far, on today’s episode of Busted Open Radio on Sirius XM Fight Nation 93.
“The fans know what they want,” explained Ray. “They want to cheer for her. They want Becky to be the female ‘Stone Cold’ [Steve Austin]. And I don’t know why the WWE wouldn’t want that. If you have something so unique, as a Stone Cold Steve Austin, one of the top characters in the history of our industry, and you had a female who had the same type of emotional investment of a Stone Cold, why not go down that road?”
