Injury to Top Raw Star Reportedly Affects Match Booking at WWE Money in the Bank

After losing to Bobby Lashley at WWE Money in the Bank over the weekend, Sami Zayn was noticeably absent on Raw this week, and according to PWInsider.com, it is because Zayn is currently dealing with an injury.

The PWInsider report furthers Zayn’s injury is the reason why his match with Lashley at the PPV was so short and one-sided.

WWE Money in the Bank was reportedly Sami Zayn’s final date with the company prior to having his injury addressed, and he will be heading to Birmingham, Alabama this week in order to be examined. The exact nature of Zayn’s injury is unknown as of this writing.

You can check out footage of the Zayn vs Lashley match, which is now expected to be the blow-off to their feud as Lashley moves on to compete in the WWE Extreme Rules main event, in the video player below:

Today on #FathersDay, I’m dedicating my #MITB match to @fightbobby‘s father – a man who raised three beautiful daughters (and a disappointing son) and dutifully served his country (unlike his disappointing son).

THIS IS FOR YOU MR. LASHLEY!
