Update On Rumor Of Smackdown Moving to Three Hours
As noted, WWE is close to signing a five-year deal with FOX which will see Smackdown Live move to Friday nights on the network in October of 2019.
Following the news of the WWE – FOX deal, The New York Post published an article noting along with the move to FOX, Smackdown will become a three-hour show much like Raw.

However, Bryan Alvarez noted on today’s Wrestling Observer Live that the New York Post article credits The Wrap for reporting Smackdown’s move to three hours, but The Wrap never reported that in its article published following today’s news.
Dave Meltzer went on to note that he heard Smackdown will remain two hours, and speculated the only way it could move to three hours is if the third hour airs on FS1.
