Shane McMahon has announced via Twitter that Jinder Mahal will be defending his WWE Title on Smackdown next week, which will be taped in Manchester, England.
It was announced on WWE Smackdown earlier this week that AJ Styles vs Rusev would headline Smackdown in Manchester, with the winner earning the final spot on Team Smackdown at WWE Survivor Series.

It’s unclear whether or not the Mahal vs Styles Title match will air on TV, so it’s possible the bout could be the dark match main event of the night. If so, the Styles vs Rusev match can take place as advertised. However, it’s also possible WWE is scrapping the match next week and might schedule it for a future Smackdown.
Due to @JinderMahal vicious attack on @AJStylesOrg, he will defend the #WWEChampionship against AJ this Tues. in Manchester, UK on #SDLive.
