Three weeks into the U.S. women’s national team’s stint in France, the squad has added another member to its ranks.
On Wednesday, forward Jessica McDonald shared a Twitter video of her 7-year-old son, Jeremiah, joining her at the setting of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
People on social media quickly fell in love with the moment.
McDonald told the AP how she shares playing in the biggest tournament of her career with her son.
“He doesn’t fully understand, but at least he’s at an age right now where he’s actually going to remember this,” McDonald said.
Jeremiah will be with the team through the later stages of the tournament with the help of a nanny paid for by the U.S. Soccer Federation.
The USWNT plays next on Friday, June 28, in a quarterfinal matchup against France.
