Week 13 is another busy one for the NFL weather forecast. There are a bunch of “cold” games, but I’ve omitted those from this article because that’s typical this time of year. More important, cold doesn’t have a significant impact on points. However, there is plenty of wind, rain, and even some snow/sleet in the forecast, and key games, such as the Packers-Giants, Buccaneers-Jaguars, and Raiders-Chiefs, could be affected. We have the latest updates below ahead of your all-important fantasy start ’em, sit ’em calls.
Before we break down the Week 13 forecast, here’s a reminder that if you have any questions about sports weather or how weather could impact play (and, potentially, your fantasy, DFS, and gambling decisions), don’t hesitate to reach out on Twitter @KevinRothWx or check our hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. NFL Week 13 weather updates
Packers @ Giants. This game will likely feature a mix of sleet/snow/rain, so “ugly” would apply. Expect the game script to tilt a bit more toward the run, but you don’t have to bench anyone in either team’s passing games simply because of the weather. However, it certainly won’t help.
Buccaneers @ Jaguars. Expect a breezy game with a chance of showers. The wind is more of a worry than the rain, so downgrade the passing games slightly.
Raiders @ Chiefs. It will be windy here, with 15-20-mph sustained winds. This would be a bump down to normal passing games, but the Chiefs should be fine. Derek Carr and Raiders receivers get a slight downgrade, though.
49ers @ Ravens. This game will feature some early rain, but the wind is manageable.
Jets @ Bengals and Redskins @ Panthers. Both games could see some showers, but they should be fine otherwise.
