A man who has been booked and arrested for allegedly raping and killing an eight-year-old dalit girl has told police that he wanted to “teach a lesson to her father” who hadn’t fully paid him for a land deal a year ago. The accused confessed that he abducted the minor girl from outside her house and took her to a sugarcane field, where he raped her and later strangled her to death.
