Donald Trump’s state visit to the UK has begun, and with claims that up to 250,000 protesters will attempt to disrupt proceedings, security arrangements are exceptionally high.
Mr Trump and his wife Melania were met at Stansted Airport in Essex by Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt on Monday morning. They are accompanied by up to 1,000 staff, a motorcade and multiple helicopters for the trip, following weeks of careful planning by US and UK security teams.
