WWE and TV partner Ten Sports officially announced two live events in India in January.

WWE is scheduled to run Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on January 15 and 16.  John Cena and Big Show are headlining.

Daniel Bryan represented WWE at the announcement made Wednesday. “Early bird” tickets are now on-sale.

WWE’s trip to India follows TNA touring the country in early December for live events and a PPV taping.

WWE is planning to bring a live show to India in 2016, as promoted by TV partner Ten Sports.

Early details are WWE will tour New Delhi, there is an early-bird ticket offer starting next Wednesday, November 4, and the top advertised stars are John Cena and Big Show.

The tour is being promoted as the first WWE event in India in 13 years. The ticket on-sale date coincides with WWE launching the Network in the country in November.

WWE is getting a jump on TNA, which travels to India in early December for a three-show tour.

WWE announced Friday they plan to launch WWE Network in India at the beginning of November, getting a jump on TNA touring the country with live shows at the end of the year.

WWE announced via press release: “Beginning Monday, November 2, WWE Network will be available in India for $9.99 (U.S.) per month, with no commitment and the ability to cancel any time. Fans in India can sign up online by going to and can watch WWE Network on their desktop, laptop and mobile devices.”

“India is a strategically important market for WWE and we are thrilled to make WWE Network available to our fans there,” said financial executive George Barrios. “The global expansion of WWE Network is a key driver in our commitment to growing the WWE brand internationally.”

TNA is also looking to expand their presence in India. TNA tours the country December 2-4, including a “One Night Only” PPV taping/live special for fans in India.

TNA has enlisted former WWE mainstay Great Khali to help recruit new talent for TNA’s roster. Khali currently operates a wrestling school in the country.
