“The Nature Boy” is going Hollywood.
The Wrap reported today that the wrestling legend will make his acting debut in a full-length movie about pro wrestling called “Uncle Steamroller and Champion Rabbit” by writer and executive producer Brian Kowalchuk.
The film, which is about an Iraq war veteran trying to get back into wrestling while being managed by a failed motiviational speaker, is said to be currently in development. No release date or other actors are known as this time, nor if the movie is going to be released in theaters or just digitally.
The WWE Hall-of-Famer will play the president of the World Wrestling Union, a Las Vegas-based group for which the lead character is trying to make his comback in. He will also be an executive producer of the film along with his fiancee.
The 69-year-old tweeted a picure this week and said he was in the studio “working on another project” but didn’t indicate if it was the movie or not.
Flair does have a few sparse on-screen acting credits in his bio including an appearance on Baywatch where he played himself.
