Records show that Fatu was arrested on Sunday and released the same day on a $500 personal recognizance bond. Further details, including an arrest report, have yet to be made available.
The Usos defended their SmackDown Tag Team titles against Rusev & Aiden English and The Bludgeon Brothers in a triple threat match in Hidalgo on Sunday, then faced The New Day, Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin, and Rusev & English in Corpus Christi last night. Whether Fatu will be kept off television at all remains to be seen.
The Usos are scheduled to defend their titles against Gable & Benjamin in a two-out-of-three falls match at the Royal Rumble later this month. Fatu’s twin brother, Jimmy Uso (real name Jonathan Fatu), will team with Naomi in the Mixed Match Challenge, but their first round match isn’t until the fourth week of the tournament.
UPDATE: WWE issued on statement on Fatu’s arrest: “Joshua Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”
