Ethan Carter III only left Impact Wrestling a few days ago, but several sources have confirmed that he is already clear to sign with any wrestling company that he chooses. It has also been rumored that he will be joining with WWE sometime very soon. Coincidentally, PWInsider has reported that Carter was recently spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. WWE has been announcing new signings all week long, and this appearance from Carter could indicate that it will only be a matter of time before he joins the company. It is even possible that the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion could be making an appearance during the Royal Rumble event on January 28th.
The first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame was officially announced by the company during this week’s edition of Raw. Former WCW megastar Goldberg will be headlining the Hall of Fame this year as part of the Class of 2018. Very few details as to who would be inducting Goldberg were given, but the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that Paul Heyman will be the one to induct the former Universal Champion into the Hall of Fame. Plans to have Heyman induct Goldberg could always change, but the belief is that WWE will announce that he will induct Goldberg soon. Heyman worked closely with Goldberg when he returned to WWE last year to feud with Brock Lesnar.
Samoa Joe has been looking dominant on Raw in recent weeks. He recently declared that he would be entering the Royal Rumble match, and it looked as though a possible feud between himself and John Cena was being teased. It’s all bittersweet now though, because Joe recently suffered a brutal foot injury that will force him to miss out on the Royal Rumble. While Joe could always recover between now and WrestleMania, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the injury appears to be worse than it was originally believed to be. Hopefully, Samoa Joe will be able to heal from his injury as quickly as possible.
