WWE Hell In A Cell Kickoff Show
The Kickoff Show opens with the expert panel running down some of tonight’s top matches. The expert panel consists of Josh Mathews, Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth and Kaitlyn.
From there we head to Renee Young in the Social Media Lounge. She plugs some of tonight’s social media stuff, such as Twitter, Facebook, etc. Young announces that there is a poll over at WWE.com, as tonight they want to crown a “Mr. Hell In A Cell.” The options are The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Randy Orton and Mick Foley.
Backstage, Vickie Guerrero is shown walking and The Miz approaches her. Miz says he wants Bray Wyatt in a match tonight. Guerrero says Miz is not medically cleared so she can’t sanction the match for him. Miz says if she can’t make the match, then he guesses that means there’s gonna have to be a fight. Guerrero asks what that means as Miz walks away.
We go back to the expert panel, where Big E. Langston joins the guys. They talk about his match with Curtis Axel being canceled as a loud, random “Yes!” chant breaks out from the fans already in attendance at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.
After we see some fans filing in the arena in Miami, we expert panel run down some more matches for tonight. They reveal that the triple-threat match for the WWE Tag-Team Championship will open the pay-per-view portion of tonight’s Hell In A Cell show.
From there, we go to a special live backstage interview with The Shield. One-by-one, the guys complain about having to beat two tag-teams to win back the titles tonight, instead of just one. They talk about Big Show sticking his nose in their business constantly. They all hit their catchphrases, but then Big E. Langston cuts them off. He talks about Dean Ambrose always making things unfair in their regular matches. Langston then challenges Ambrose to a match for the WWE United States Championship tonight. Ambrose turns him down. Langston asks what the problem is, noting that he’s just a rookie. Ambrose says he doesn’t deserve it. Langston continues to push for it and Ambrose finally accepts. So we have a Big E. Langston vs. Dean Ambrose WWE U.S. Title match added to tonight’s show.

Now there is an Uso in but he eats a spear from Reigns. Rollins and Rhodes are still the legal men as The Shield clears the Usos out. It’s Rhodes and Rollins once again. Los Matadores vs. The Real Americans
Los Matadores come out first with El Torito. The Real Americans, with Zeb Colter, are out next. Colter’s got a mic and he says it’s funny that tonight is called Hell in a Cell, because their opponents belong in cells because they’re criminals, and about 80 percent of the crowd probably is too. Zeb also calls out Torito, saying he assaulted and attacked a United States war veteran in Colter. He’s embarrassed that they have to breathe the same air as these three tonight, and that’s no bull. Colter concludes by asking us to put our hands over our hearts, and in a loud clear voice repeat, “we…the people.” With that said, the match begins.
Diego and Cesaro start for their respective teams. Diego attempts to use his speed against Cesaro, scoring with a couple of quick head scissors. After they re-air the long video package documenting John Cena’s road to recovery, we head back inside the arena for our World Heavyweight Championship match. Out first is the champion, Alberto Del Rio. Out next is the challenger, John Cena, who receives an enormous reaction, and actually a mostly positive one. Still some boo’s mixed in there, but it sounded on television to be around 80/20 in favor of cheers. Lilian Garcia formerly introduces Cena, and then introduces Del Rio in Spanish. The positive reaction for Cena didn’t last long, as we already have our first “let’s go Cena, Cena sucks” dueling chants from the fans in the American Airlines Arena.

Del Rio charges in, and Cena sits up. Del Rio crashes head first into the corner turnbuckle. Cena heads up to the top, and Cena leaps off with a big cross body that’s good for two. Cena goes for Del Rio, and Del Rio drops down with Cena’s arm across his knees. Del Rio tries for the cross arm breaker, but Cena counters into the STF and Del Rio struggles to the ropes. Del Rio makes it to the ropes and Cena is forced to break the hold.
The two exchange a few turns as having the momentum on their side offensively, until another series of submissions and reverals leads to the finish. Del Rio locks in the Cross Armbreaker again on Cena. He takes the padding off of Cena’s arm, which apparently makes the move hurt worse, at least according to the announcers. Cena powers his way out, picking Del Rio up, while still in the Cross Armbreaker. This leads to Cena hitting the Attitude Adjustment on Del Rio. Cena covers Del Rio. Cena gets 1. Cena gets 2. Centa gets 3. We have a new World Heavyweight Champion, Cena’s third time holding this particular title. No cash-in by Damien Sandow either, so it’s official. Cena celebrates a bit and eventually heads to the back with his new title belt.
