— While Rey Mysterio was promised a long run with the Intercontinental Championship, it seems unlikely that WWE would have him beat Dolph Ziggler on a second straight pay-per-view. In perhaps a double spoiler, it should be noted that Tuesday night’s SmackDown taping in Phoenix has Chris Jericho and Big Show defending their Unified Tag Team Championships against Rey Mysterio and The Great Khali. Also scheduled is John Cena and DX vs. Legacy and CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy in a Steel Cage Match.

Access Hollywood host Nancy O’Dell conducted a Q & A session with John Cena this afternoon in a ring located across the STAPLES Center. Cena focused on WWE’s work with the Betty’s Battle charity, but also cut a promo on Randy Orton. Cena said he’s been in the middle since WrestleMania, but hoped to be back on top tonight and become World Champion again.

Cena’s promo was followed by a match between Primo and Chavo Guerrero. Primo picked up the win. Two other matches were held yesterday as Jimmy Wang Yang beat Mike Knox and Chris Masters beat Jamie Noble.

— The August 22nd, 2009 edition of WWE Vintage Collection on The Score featured these matches:

* Edge & Sable vs. Marc Mero & Jacquelyn from Summerslam 1998
* Jeff Jarrett vs. D-Lo Brown from Summerslam 1999
