WWE Pulls Ric Flair From Ring of Honor, Ricky Steamboat Returning To The Ring

— In a last minute decision, World Wrestling Entertainment pulled Ric Flair from tonight’s Ring of Honor television taping in Philadelphia.

In a segment that will not be televised, Ric Flair came to the ring at tonight’s show to put over the company and its fans, but announced he was stepping down as commissioner to work for WWE. Before he left, he thanked everyone for their acceptance and support.

— It was announced today that Chris Jericho would be wrestling Ricky Steamboat at a SmackDown/ECW house show in Japan on Wednesday, July 8th.

— Two WWE stars celebrate their birthdays today. The Brian Kendrick turns 30 whereas Hornswoggle turns 23.
